This is our second Christmas in Boise. This time it felt more like home. Last year we were in the apartment and now we have our own home.
This is our Christmas Tree. We want to thank our parents for the great gifts.

During the afternoon we took a little walk around our neighborhood. We received a little bit of fresh snow over night. Here is Julie in the park across the street from our house.

This year I was really trying to bring the things I love about Christmas at home to Boise. The first was that we got a real Christmas tree this year. Also I made a batch of the egg nog recipe that my Grandpa Bohl would always make at Christmas. Here is the egg nog in one of the cups he would always serve it in.

The last thing to bring home to Boise was that we made a real turkey for dinner. Here is me during the prep stage. Always be sure to rub down your turkey.

This is my first attempt at carving a turkey. Do you know the line from "A Christmas Story?" "It is well known that the old man is a turkey junkie." That is me.

Our dinner was turkey, sweet potatoes and green bean casserole. It was all very good and we have plenty of leftover turkey.
Also, we made sure to call home and talk to our families. We miss them very much on Christmas but this we felt like we were at last home.
Take Care and Merry Christmas,
Stix and Julie
