Volunteering at the World Winter Special Olympics

Over 2000 athletes from over 100 countries are in Boise this week for the World Winter Games for Special Olympics. I finished my 3 days of volunteering today and am sad that I have to go back to my "real job" tomorrow. It has been an amazing 3 days with so many touching stories and experiences. Here are some random pictures. The girls above are from Hungry.

The skater above is from Kuwait. He was the only participant in speedskating from Kuwait and the country has only 2 ice rinks ( I was surprised they had 2).
This girl is from China and always had a smile on her face. She won the gold in her division.

These are some of the 55,000 scarves handmade for the event. They came from all over the world.
