Getting Back Up to Date-P. 3-Cervidae Peak

I did my first hike in quite a while with IMR last Saturday. We did a hike that was not to far from Boise. We hiked up Cervidae Peak. The hike was only about 4 to 5 mile round trip. There as still about 2,000 ft of elevation gain. The hiking was a little step. I would say that it was like hiking up a black diamond ski hill. You can see how steep it was in the picture below. That road is about height of where we started. Also, that river is normally a lake. They have drained it for the upcoming snow melt.

You can see below that the mountains received the first snow fall last week. Those are the Trinity Mountains in the distance.
There was a neat little summit marker with a flag at the top. There was even a guest register up there to sign. That was the first time I ever signed one.
It was a very rewarding hike with my friends Colls, Jerry (Frog) and Mary Jo (not pictured) from IMR. Abby did not get to go on this hike. I thought that terrian would be a little to tough.
I am almost back up to date. I will make the last post tomorrow.
