Late Happy Thanksgiving

We forgot to post something yesterday. We spent our first Thanksgiving in Boise with a family of a guy I work with. It was so nice to spend the day with this family. They were giving us some ideas about where we should explore around the area. It was a little sad to not be around family yesterday. It was even harder when I found out that Julie and I were the only ones missing from the Ford family get together. In fact, I cannot remember a time when I had not been with my family on Thanksgiving. This was also Julie's first Thanksgiving that she did not have to work.

I know what the big question is. Did Julie and I go shopping today? No. We spent the day doing a little driving tour south of Boise. Most of that area is high mountain desert, even the area that is along the Snake River. The first part of our tour took us to the Sawtooth Winery. There is a small winery area that is right around Nampa/Caldwell. If you don't know, Nampa is the town where my office is located. It is about 15 miles west of Boise. We took the picture for this post at that winery. The rest of the tour was in that mostly desert area. The picture of Abby was taken at a reservoir on the Snake River.

Well, I must be going. The Boise State v. Hawaii football game is almost ready to come on. Speaking of football how about LSU? Ohio State it not out of it yet. I am thinking OSU and WVU for the title.

We hope all is well.

OSU got ranked 3rd in the BCS. I'd rather not see them get to the title game and get womped again. Overall, they had a good season - so no one should complain.
