Trying to Pack it All In

I think that this is the last weekend that I will not have to work on Saturdays. Tax season is really starting to heat up. Also, Julie has changed her schedule to agree with mine. She will be working on Saturdays from now until April. So, this weekend we tried to pack in as much fun as we could.

On Saturday, we went up and tried out the snowshoe trails at the Bogus Basin nordic center. Julie had done these trails before. We snowshoed about 2 miles. We also did a some off trail shoeing. Bogus had received over 2 feet of snow during the week. When we went off of the regular trail the snow was nice and deep. It was fun to play in. Julie took some video of me on the trail with our regular camera. It is a little grainy but enjoy.

Also, here are some regular pictures. Note how far Julie's pole is in the snow.

On Sunday, we went back up to Bogus to go ski. The weather and views were great both days. It has gotten warmer here over the past few days. It was about 35 at the base when we finished skiing today so it was not a chore to get the camera out get photos and video. We skied for about 3 1/2 hours. The good news is that when Julie skied today, her fifth time of the season, she officially paid off her season pass. Today was my sixth day of the season. I am hoping to get at least two more days in. Eight ski days would be an all time record for me. While living in Ohio I averaged about five to six. That includes our annual ski trips we took. Here is more video and pictures.

Lastly, I have to say that I was a little bit sad this week. My good friend Don was going to come out to Idaho this weekend to get his taxes, ski and hang out with us. But, he could not end up making it.

Have any of our past blog entries made you think about coming out to Idaho?

Do you want to have the bragging rights of being our first visitors? My parents are coming to Boise in September. Can you beat that?

We would welcome any and all of our family and friends into our home. If you wait till April, we will actually have a house.

Stix
