Our Christmas cactus (Lenten cactus) finally bloomed last week. It looks like we will only get one bloom this year, but that is better than not having any for the past few years.
We both found it somewhat difficult finding a new church after moving to a new city. We often spent each week at a new church trying to find what felt to be the most comfortable. I like a more traditional atmosphere and have settled on St. John's Cathedral which is downtown. It is absolutely beautiful on the inside and will try to post some pictures in the future. One thing that we have noticed it that there aren't any Friday fish fries during lent. It must be more of a midwestern thing.
