Our big Oak tree (nicknamed "Treebeard") got a trim job today. I didn't realize what a job it would be. We had 2 guys climb up with ropes to get to the top. Our front yard was a mess for most of the morning. At least we will have a few less leaves to rake this fall. The arborist said our oak was in the top tier of all white oaks he has seen.
This past weekend we planted a baby Blue Spruce (nicknamed "Blue"). It is tiny now, but has the potential to get up to 40' tall
