Weekend in the Sawtooths

This past weekend we hiked into the Sawtooth Wilderness near Stanley, ID. The weather in Boise was forecasted to be hot so we decided to escape to the mountains, plus we were wanting to camp at least one more time this summer.
This is a picture of our destination of our hike... Sawtooth Lake at 8400'. Roundtrip we did about 10 miles. It was so peaceful and we did encounter a few patches of snow.
This is Alpine Lake, a smaller lake we passed on our hike. The water is so clean and clear.

Back at camp we made smores. Dinner was another story. We premade pasta with meatballs and froze it. Unfortunately our camping cookware is not nonstick. Needless to say we had a bit of a mess.

Michael surprised me with a birthday/anniversary trip to Seattle. We will just be taking a long weekend in September to celebrate. Looking forward to it.
