We did many of the tourist things while we were in Seattle. We got into town at about 7:30 AM. It was nice 90 minute flight from Boise. We dropped our bags off at the hotel.
We walked from our hotel to
Safeco Field to do a tour of the stadium. Next door to
Safeco was
Qwest Field. This is where the
Seahawks play. I wish we could have toured this place. However, there was a soccer game being played there on that day. I think this may be as close as I ever get to seeing my NFL team play. Notice how gray the sky is.

The tour of
Safeco was cool. This is the media interview room. Many of you may know that the Mariners are very popular in Japan because of
Ichiro Suzuki. There were many
Japanese people on our tour. Our guide was the number one member of the
Ichiro fan club. He also said that Edgar Martinez should be in the hall of fame. That is bit of a reach.

We got to be at field level but we could not go on the grass. I would like to come back next year and see the Tribe beat the Mariners.

Sunday we did a sailboat tour in Puget Sound. We did see a sea lion hanging out on a
buoy and the sun was out.

Many people catch
cruise ships in Seattle. This one was very big. Julie and I discussed that doing a
cruise is not for us. I think it is because riding on a 10 story building in ocean does not sound like fun. Just note how big the ship looks in relation to the buildings behind it.

The boat tour was very fun. We enjoyed the peacefulness and seeing a good view of the downtown sky line.

Yes, we did go and see the Space Needle. We did not go up. We thought it was to costly.

The last touristy thing we did was go into the
Experience Music Project museum. A person at our hotel called it Paul Allen's tribute to Jimmi Hendrix. I can see why he said that. There was lots of stuff about Jimmi in the museum. This is just a clip of a movie they we show. This is Jimmi at Woodstock.
Attached to the music museum was the Science
Fiction Hall of Fame. I got to get in touch with my inner nerd. They even had what I assume was a copy of Captain Kirk's
command chair from the 60's TV show. Sorry, we do not have pictures.
The trip was a great way to spend our 7
th Anniversary. I say that because it was spent with the love of my life.
