We have been in Boise for about 8 months now. Here are just a few of my observations.
1. No humidity!!! This is one thing I do not miss at all. So far we have not had to use our A/C all that much even with days in the 90's. The mornings are relatively cool and we have a huge oak tree in our front yard. This coming weekend they are forecasting 100 degree temperatures so we will see how that goes.
2. People ride their bikes alot here. I'm sure some of it has to do with gas prices. Just about every business has a bike ride out front (even church). Sometimes it is difficult to find a place to park.
3. People who get joint replacements here are much thinner than those in the Columbus area.
4. Native Idahoans do not like the Californians.
5. Dogs riding in the back of open pick up trucks is very common (even at 65 mph on the interstate).
6. People take their dogs to Home Depot. Don't ask me why.
Remember to avoid low acid coffee.
