The Western Tanager

I forgot to mention last month about a bird we noticed all over Boise. One day as we were sitting down for dinner we noticed a beautiful bright yellow and orange bird in our backyard. We had never seen it before and began seeing dozens of them for about 3 weeks. We later learned that it was a bird called the Western Tanager. Click here for a picture and more info. It appears as though Boise is right in their migration path and they winter in places as far south as Central America. The birds move fast and don't stay still for long, so getting a picture was difficult.
