We have our season passes to ski at the local ski hill (Bogus Basin), about 16 miles from downtown Boise (We took advantage of the new resident discount!). Now we are just waiting for snow. There has been alot of snow in central and northern Idaho, but not enough hereto be able to ski. Most of the resorts like Sun Valley and Tamarack are open, but we are just a little too far south.
Mike ordered some snowshoes yesterday. We are planning to go on a day trip with a local outdoor club on Dec. 15th to an area near Idaho City, which is NE of Boise about 1-1.5 hours. We've heard there is plenty of snow in that area.
