So we have been in our new house for 4 nights now. Our first few nights have not been entirely restful. On our first night we were awoken to a high pitched beeping from our security system. Abby was having a fit because the pitch was very similar to her invisible fence shock collar that we had in Columbus. It took us awhile to figure out where the noise was coming from. We eventually disarmed the system and went back to bed.About 2AM we heard another series of beeps. Now we find the range blinking "error". We had used the oven for dinner, but didn't think we had done anything wrong. I hit the "off" button and the beeping ceased. I thought everything was fine and went back to sleep. 30 minutes later the same thing happened. I shut it off and went back to bed. Another 30 minutes later and again the Evil Range beeps. After the 3rd time it stopped for good.
Second night, 2AM,same set of beeps. I've just about had it by this point and unplug the #$% thing. Third night (the Evil Range was plugged back in), it's around 2AM and the Evil Range makes its comeback.
Now yesterday was the first day that we did not use the stove or oven at all. Finally we had a full night with no annoying beeps (even though I still got up around 2AM because I was imagining I was hearing beeps). I am beginning to think I would just prefer a normal range with no hi-tech computers associated with it. All I need is heat. I don't care about all the fancy things it has to offer. Does anyone have any suggestions about what might be wrong?
We are really enjoying our new house despite the Evil Range.

is it when the oven is on or does that include the stove too? do you have a copy of the manual? the manufacturer should have it posted on their website. sorry - that's the best thing i can think of.
