Box Lake - Wow

I took another hike with IMR this weekend. This is a weekend that Julie had to work. This is good and bad. The bad is that Julie could not go. The good is that now I have a good excuse to go back to this place.

We hiked about 6 1/2 miles (round trip) to a place called Box Lake. This trail is about 2 1/2 hours north of Boise. All I have to say about this place is wow. Below is a picture of the lake.
One of the guys in our group took a swim in the lake. I waded up to my knees. The water felt sort of good once the very cold water made you numb.

This is a very pretty meadow that was about a 1/2 mile from the lake. Again wow.
At the end of the trail, we sat had a beer and soaked our feet in a creek. I had a great day with my new friends.
Julie and I are getting ready to head home for a week. We can't wait to see our family and friends.
