So now with the price of gas going higher and higher, we have been seeing many more people riding their bikes for errands or even out to dinner. This past Saturday Mike and I rode into downtown (3.5 miles) to have dinner with some friends. I am happy to say that I have not driven my car for the past 8 days (and counting). Over the past few weeks we have compiled a list of some of the more unusual things we have been seen people haul by bike.
-fishing gear
-case of beer
-bag of dog food
-yoga mat
-small dog
-pizza
-guitar
The best thing we have seen so far is someone hauling a kayak. This couldn't have been easy to have so much weight on one side of the bike. Now when Mike and I are out riding we often look at the other cyclists wondering "Watcha haulin'? ".
