Trip Home-P. 3-Mike's Family

The last part of our vacation was time spent with my family. We went to Sunday morning church with my parents. Then after church the four of us did a short hike at Slate Run Metro park.

In the late afternoon we went over to Steve and Beth's house (my brother and sister-in -law) for a family cookout. All of my siblings, nieces and nephews were there plus Mackie and Tonya (my cousin) and their children. Below is my brother Steve and my nephews Patrick and John playing corn hole.

After a filling dinner of hamburgers, brats, corn on the cob, etc. the children wanted everyone to play hide and go seek. This picture is before the game started. Julie and I had so much fun relaxing with everyone.

Monday the four of us took Ruby and Zoey to the park so my sister Julia could work. Here I am being a silly Uncle and trying to crawl through a play ground tube. These are not made for people over six feet tall.

After a picnic lunch, we took a short hike with the girls. Along the path we found some wild blackberries to pick. Ruby and Zoey could not get enough of them.Well that is our trip home. We are now back in Boise and already missing our family. I have to give some special thank yous here. Thanks to Mary Lou and Frank (Julie's Parents) for the time spent with them. The side trip to Pittsburgh was great. Thanks to Cooch and Alison for planning the night out at Bag of Nails and the place to stay on Friday night. Thanks to Claude and Anna (my parents) for the rides to and from the airport, use of the Corvette and the time spent with them. Lastly, to Mark and Missy for being the beginning reason for our trip home.

We loved seeing everyone. We hope that we can come back again soon. I think it is now time for people to come out to Boise to see us. We have lots of room and bed for people.

Stix
